Exam Scheduling Information for Locations Outside of Metro Vancouver

Exam scheduling | Examinees now have the option to write the LLQP exam in-person in Victoria and Kelowna. Please continue to check this page for updates as new locations outside Metro Vancouver become available.

The Insurance Council has partnered with Camosun College to administer the LLQP exams in-person in Victoria. Please ​see steps below on how to schedule an exam with the test centre in Victoria: 

  1. Once you have paid for the LLQP exam modules via your Insurance Council portal account (see Exam Registration Process-Exams Outside of Metro Vancouver), you may then schedule your exam with Camosun College via their registration page here.

    Please note: you may only schedule up to a maximum of 2 modules per exam day with Camosun College.

  2. Please ensure to thoroughly review the test centre’s terms and policies before registering and scheduling an exam with them. 

    Please note: Proctoring fee applies and is paid directly to the test centre.
     

  3. You must notify the Insurance Council’s Examinations team via email at examinations@insurancecouncilofbc.com at least 14 calendar days before your scheduled exam date to allow for adequate time for the test centre to receive the exam materials. Failure to do so will result in your request being declined, and you will be required to reschedule your exam with the test centre.

    Please note: Proctor rescheduling fees may apply as determined by the individual test centre, please review the test centre’s terms and policies for their rescheduling/cancellation procedure.
     

  4. Once you have confirmed a scheduled exam date with the test centre, please contact the Insurance Council’s Examinations team via email at examinations@insurancecouncilofbc.com to provide the following information:

    • Your full legal name

    • Date of birth

    • CIPR number

    • Exam date

    • Exam time

    • Exam module

    • Exam location
       

  5. Please ensure you have received confirmation of acknowledgment from the Insurance Council’s Examinations team before attending your scheduled exam at the test centre.See About the LLQP Exam page for important information about the exams, such as exam requirements and re-write rules, etc.
     

  6. If you wish to reschedule/cancel your exam date, you must contact the test centre directly to do so. Proctor rescheduling fees may apply as determined by the individual test centre, please review the test centre’s terms and policies for their rescheduling/cancellation procedure.

    You must also notify the Insurance Council of the cancellation by cancelling the exam(s) through your online portal account. If the cancel notification is not provided at least 14 calendar days before the scheduled exam, you automatically forfeit the exam fee paid to the Insurance Council.

    To reschedule the cancelled exam(s), repeat the exam scheduling process.
     

  7. Please ensure to review the LLQP section on the Insurance Council’s website. Including the Exam Regulations and Rules, and corresponding sanctions for misconduct. For detailed information about how to prepare for exam day, please see our Taking the LLQP Exam In-Person page. 
     

Please arrive at the exam location at least 20 minutes before your scheduled exam for check-in on exam day. Late examinees will not be permitted to enter the exam room.  Please refer to the exam confirmation email you have received from the individual testing centre for exam location and exam day details.  Please also log into your online portal account and click on “View my exam confirmation letter” for your exam confirmation letter with the Insurance Council. Please read this document, as well as the confirmation email from the individual test centre, carefully as they contain important information pertaining to your exams.

KELOWNA


The Insurance Council has partnered with Okanagan College - Kelowna Campus to adminster the LLQP exams in-person in Kelowna. Please ​see steps below on how to schedule an exam with the test centre in Kelowna: 


  1. Once you have paid for the LLQP exam modules via your Insurance Council portal account (see Exam Registration Process-Exams Outside of Metro Vancouver), you may then schedule your exam with Okanagan College - Kelowna Campus via their registration page here.

    Please note: you may only schedule up to a maximum of 1 module per exam day with Okanagan College - Kelowna Campus, and it can only be scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays at 9:30am.

  2. Please ensure to thoroughly review the test centre’s terms and policies before registering and scheduling an exam with them.
